THE SPORT FOCUS OF THE DAY IS REALLY ALL ABOUT LIFESTYLE.  AT STREETFEST YOU SEE ROLLERBLADERS, SKATEBOARDERS, BMX, PARKOUR AND DANCE CREWS INTRODUCE THEIR ‘CULTURE’ THROUGH VARIOUS SHOWCASES AND VIA SPECIFICALLY CONSTRUCTED CIRCUITS ACROSS THE VENUE.  JUST TO ADD SOME SPICE TO THE DAY, WE ALSO HAVE A RANGE OF INTERACTIVE COMPETITIONS DESIGNED FOR THE PROFESSIONAL PERFORMERS TO REALLY SHOWCASE THEMSELVES.  NEW TO THIS YEAR’S PROGRAMMING WE HAVE;

GAME OF SKATE

This year we are proud to host the world famous Game of SKATE finals!  A street based skateboarding game of skill and tricks popularized by street skaters in the US in the eighties.

Qualifiers for the Game of SKATE will consist of 32 invited skaters and will take place at Mile End skatepark on weekends in the month leading upto StreetFest13.  Finals will consist of the final 8 pre-qualified skaters playing the last 8 games of SKATE on the day of the event. Footage of the qualifying games with be posted on social and skateboard media sites such as REDBULLFLOW , SIDEWALK &  CAUGHTINTHCROSSFIRE so keep your eyes peeled!

RED BULL MINI-RAMP JAM CONTEST

A competition on a skateboard half pipe sponsored by Red Bull with over 20 skaters competing their best tricks for cash prizes! The ramp will also host the very best rollerblades and BMX.

DANCE STAGE

This year sees the dance platform given its own stage. Throughout the day a programme of live battles and displays from up and coming local and UK renowned dancers will be taking place on this dedicated element to StreetFest. Come down to witness hip hop dancing at it’s best, complete with performances showcasing the original hip hop dance styles from generations old and new. Join our open workshop and learn your fave 80′s moves, then watch in awe as some of the greatest Bboys and Bgirls take to the stage in a b.supreme Bonnie & Clyde Battle.
