An artist and self-proclaimed ‘salad enthusiast’ Jon Burgerman (hold the cheese, extra tomatoes presumably), straddles the disciplines of urban art, design, illustration and entrepreneurialism with ease.
Burgerman’s instantly recognisable works can be seen across the globe from gallery and bedroom walls to cinema and iPhone screens, and even on a sick bag he designed for Virgin Atlantic.
Burgerman exhibits internationally and has shown work along side popular artists including Banksy, Damien Hirst, Vivienne Westwood and Gerald Scarfe.
Dazed and Confused visual arts editor Francesca Gavin, says, ‘Jon Burgerman makes vibrant, neo primitive scrawls of shapes and colour. He’s pushed his monster-like characters into compositions where cartoon-like forms are crammed on top of each until they create a screaming mass of energy. Intensely prolific, he has pushed the character obsession of the late 90s into a far more interesting and strong direction. Think Walt Disney at an Incan monument on mescaline.’
